Anonymous asked: why do you call Kubacki Dzióbao? it's super cute but where did it come from?:P
it derives from one of his interviews where he said “coś mnie tam dzióbało na progu”. I’m not sure if I can translate it correctly but it means pretty much “something pecked me at the takeoff” meaning something was wrong, he felt uncomfortable or sth like that. as far as I know it’s not an idiom but a saying he invented and used repeatedly.
also, we omitted the letter Ł cause a) “Dzióbao” sounds pretty redneck b) it’s funny and c) it also sounds like a Brazilian name (Dzióbao Hernandez lol)
we’ve been referring to Kubacki as “Dzióbao” for a long time now (it has evolved into Dzióbek, Dzióbacki, Dzióbson etc) and figured you might want to know this.
